Vray not booting inside sketchup, or available as extension/plugin

Hi all,

Finished my final uni assignment for the year around 3 weeks ago, and took a break from vray and sketchup. I started a new project about 3 days ago, but when I open sketchup, vray is no longer “present” in the sketchup GUI, nor available as a plugin/extension to enable/uninstall etc.

I tried changing over to the latest service pack, but that didn’t seem to work either - I had no errors pop up when I ran the install. All seemed to run smoothly.

Sketchup still takes a bit longer to open as per the usual for when vray is installed. I have TT’s Vray Tools plugin, but the “Load Vray” option is greyed out.

My license is still active, though is about to expire, so I thought I would sort this before I pay for another!

Any ideas appreciated - never had an issue like this before.

make sure you’re installing the right version of V-Ray for SketchUp for the version of SketchUp you are using. We now have a 64bit version of our plugin, and there is a 64bit version of SketchUp 2015. V-Ray should show up in the SketchUp extensions preferences after a successful installation.

I’m having the same issue. I upgraded to Sketchup 2016 and updated Vray for Sketchup 2016 and the extension didn’t load.

Are you sure you downloaded the correct installer? We have separate installers for 2015 and 2016.

I contacted support and they sent a different vray installer. It worked!!
