VRayColor's Gamma correction built INTO or added to VRayMtl

Hi all

I deal a LOT with files from Sketchup and from Rhino which typically are not setup with LWF in mind. We’re talking easily 100 to 200 materials in a typical scene of thousands of objects.
Sometimes I convert these materials by hand, with a lot of them only having a diffuse color. It’s a MAJOR hassle for each one to add a VRayColor, set the gamma to 0.4545, copy the color, paste it and clear the VRayColor. It would be awesome if I could just right there and then next to the diffuse have a thing to say gamma 0.4545 and it will sort itself out taking into account Max’s and VRay’s own gamma etc.

Alternatively, can we FURTHER enhance the “V-Ray scene converter” to have an option to tick to convert ALL diffuse colours to a 0.4545 gamma

for o in (selection as array) where (classof o.material) == vraymtl do
(
  m = o.material
   if m.diffusecolormap == undefined do (
     clr = vraycolormap()
     clr.color = m.diffusecolor
     clr.gamma = 1/2.2
     m.diffusecolormap = clr
     etc. etc. etc.
  )
)
