I want it!
+1
it looked pretty awesome on the video ![]()
Looks really nice indeed, and the power of today’s GPUs vs CPU is really interesting.
Will you get RT for CUDA when you buy a release of VRay RT or will it be a separate release?
I’m interested to buy VRay RT but would like to know about the CUDA/GPU release to be sure.
Whaaat?! When?! Where?! I am on vacation… Gahhh!
Siggraph?
WOW that’s fantastic…
I want it’s babies.
Any possible idea of when this might be available to the huddled masses? Or is that a closely guarded secret?
No firm release dates yet; we will let you know when things get to a useable stage.
Best regards,
Vlado
Thanks Vlado. Stunning, bleeding edge stuff you guys are doing. Well done.
Very exciting.
James.
You’re running a nVidia 295 correct? How does it run on “lesser” graphics cards? I’d like to get a 295, but I think that would mean getting an entirely new motherboard that supports that.
The demo was actually done on a 285. I don’t think you need a different motherboard for the 295 though.
Best regards,
Vlado
Is there a reason why you used a GeForce and not a FX card, if we wanted to buy a card what should we be looking for?
Well it was the only one we could get the same day
It is too early to give any hardware recommendations yet.
Best regards,
Vlado
@Vlado - lol. You guys are always buying hardware whenever you come over to the US…
Is this to be a production renderer or just for previz like RT currently is?
Thanks
James
Hi Vlado,
It’s possible that in the future VRay 2.0 or next release will use a GPU for accelerate the Rendering, like in VRay-RT? ![]()
Well, in future tense, anything is possible ![]()
Best regards,
Vlado
that would be a really nice feature! ![]()
I am in the same boat as you. Did this get answered. Im sure the CUDA release will be included if you have the VRAY RT regular version??
