Vrimg

How can I open and convert a VRIMG???

there is a converter tool, which I don’t believe is available on the downloads section yet, but you can also just render directly to an .exr rather than a .vrimg, which saves you the trouble of converting the file.

Unfortunately, I am finding this out late as I have already saved it to VRIMG. I am coming to the conclusion that this format is crap and I should have just saved it to EXR. The only issue with that, is that you need Photoshop Extended 64 to get the comp layers.

the format isn’t crap, lol. It has all of the V-Ray render layers stored in it, and it should be able to be loaded back in to the vfb (I believe this functionality isn’t working at the moment though). It’s just not intended to go directly to a 3rd party editor of any sort, without going through a conversion process. The converter was up on our old site, try contacting support@asgvis.com, maybe someone can direct you to the new location of that tool?

Which OS do you need the converter for?

There is report that the VRIMG format is not working with Vray for SU 1.49.01 - is this correct?

There is a report that the VRIMG format is not working with the converter that we used to have on our website. The VRIMG format itself is fine, and we just needed a new version of the converter.

I found the old thread I remember participating in about the vrimage issue
