I know that “Render ID” doesn’t work because I found a post on this subject. But do we have a list of what work and what doesn’t?
The VFB channels are not discussed in the V-Ray for Rhino manual.
What is the best way to isolate an object to be able to tweak it’s appearance in Photoshop?
Hi Marc
On the “readme” file we added some information about new features, bugs fixes, Known Issues, etc. There you will find information about the channels. The “Readme” file is on “C:\Program Files\Rhinoceros 4.0\Plug-ins\VRayForRhino\Help”.
Hi
Are you using the latest build of V-Ray for Rhino? Here is what I have
Known Issues in SR 1.5
----------------------
+ The following channels are not fully functional yet:
* Wire Color - unknown why it is apparently not working
* Real Color - unknown why it is apparently not working
* Node ID - ASGVIS needs to implement means to set color to nodes ( Render Id channel may be of help )
* Material ID - ASGVIS needs to implement means to set color to individual materials
* Atmosphere - our product currently has no atmospherics so this channel will not be utilized
Yes, I see this. But does it mean they all work except these 5?
Because at the top of the same file, under “Additional Features in SR 1.5” it says “Additional Render Channels are now supported” so it’s a little vague.
So what would be the way to isolate objects other than doing another render with the alpha for these objects at -1?
I viewed the webinar… It’s interseting but it ends before getting into the subject that is of interest to me at the moment… the masking and selection of objects/materials.
Is there a part two somewhere?
