No Cloud Render Icon in Houdini 18.566

I have tried installing the Vray Cloud, botha s part of the standard Vray installation (Vray Next and Vray5 Beta) in both cases using the .exe installer on Windows 10.

I have also tried installing Chaos Cloud Client manually.

What I do not see is the icon or any menu option to launch the Chaos Cloud within Houdini. Is this available or do I need to export and submit to the cloud via Vray standalone?

Any help appreciated!

Hey thexdan ,

we removed the icon from the shelf and added a separate V-Ray Cloud ROP - you can hook up a Renderer to it and submit directly. We hoped it would make it simpler for people, especially those that rely on multiple renderers for their compositing workflows.

One question, does this mean we can connect multiple rops to a single Chaos Cloud node?

Yes, that should work although I just realized the <ROP_NAME> option does not do what it is supposed to and all the jobs will share the same name.

I'm logging it and will ping you once fixed.

Well it works really well, I haven't tried the multiple ROPs but I really like the GoogleDrive integration - saves a whole bunch of download upload when sharing renders!

thexdan , thanks for the feedback regarding the Google Drive integration! Our goal was exactly that - make it easier and faster for the users to download and share their output images.
