    Hi

it seems that the cloud service really is a lottery, regarding the ticket you get, you pay...
    see my examples...
I don't know if they have an explanation for this at chaos, one thing is for sure, the cloud is a chaos...

    example 1:

    1st render 8K (7680x4320PX) 2hours and 20 min. CREDITS: 14 download size: 806 Mb
    2nd render FHD (1920x1080PX) 3hours and 4min. CREDITS: 18 download size: 50 Mb

both are from the same skp. file and rendered with almost the same settings...

    example 2:

    1st render 4K (3840x2160PX) 38min and 23 seconds CREDITS: 3,84 download size 211Mb.
    2nd render 4K (3840x2160PX) 2 hours CREDITS: 11,96 download size 210 Mb.

both renders are one and the same and are rendered with EXACTLY the same settings of EXATLY the same skp. file...

      Hello Manual,

Thank you for reporting this issue!

Can you please let us know the URLs from both jobs so we can check and compare them at our side.

Also you mentioned some issues with the ticket - is this related to problems when reporting jobs from Chaos Cloud? Can you please let us know if you have reported any jobs from Chaos Cloud portal and if you have received back an e-mail with a ticket number for them.

        Hi @manuel_pomeda,

In the first example, you are comparing two different scenes and the render time difference is expected. Note there might be something in the scene that increase the render time in the "2nd render ".

Regarding the second example, can you contact our support from the Contact Form and send us the scene? You can use the Pack Project tool (Extensions > V-Ray > Pack Project) to make an archived copy of the project and then send it to us.

Also, we will need the job ID from these jobs so we can check them in our internal Admin panel. Here you can see how to get the job ID.

          Hi Mihail and viktoria...

First of all thanks for reply, I hereby send you the URL's of the files...

@viktoria: I do not agree with you regarding the render times and credits in the first examples..., indeed it are 2 different scenes, but the first regards a 8K image of 800mb and the second a fhd image of 50mb, my iMac rendered it in 34min..., I do not have a problem to pay for the cloud, but let's be reasonable..., or you make we can get an estimate of the rendering job or you make it work proper. in the home page you even suggest yourselves to do a first render in a smaller resolution... 3 hours and 4 min and 18 credits (+-18€) for a fhd image is not acceptable... I think there is still a lot of work to do to keep up with some other render farms... Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the ease of use off the vray cloud and also that need to be payed, but there are limits and the renders I do are not off the highest level (it's not marvel material...).

            Hi manuel_pomeda,

Thanks for sharing the job IDs with us. Is it possible to open a support ticket from our Contact Form and send us the scene so we can further investigate these render times?

I just ran my own test, after suspecting something like this. The first render came through in 4 min 24 sec, cost .425 credits, and looks good. Without changing ANY SETTINGS, the second render came through in 3 min 21 sec, cost .185 credits, and is much too dark.

Now, I had come across a cloud render that was way too dark before, adjusted GI, and it rendered much too brightly, put GI back down to original settings and it came through fine. I assumed at the time it was user error, but I'm beginning to suspect that sometimes the cloud just doesn't render correctly.

Any input as to why this would be?

                  First job ID: Gh1ASt6CUW7uQfsX
                  Second job ID: Gh1ZHtfWDcw5vg_z
I actually ran a 3rd, which came in at 2 min 49 sec and cost .174 credits. It's somewhere between the other two in terms of brightness.
                  Third job ID: Gh13GlAXLJsU6Edd

If you figure out what happened, or what caused this, please let me know. Thanks!
