  • Rendering displacement for 8K renders

    Hi there.

    I am trying to render at 8K but one of my scenes is mostly displacement for ground details but it's running out of memory
    Whats the best way to optimise this so I can actually render it.

    Error building Embree static ray caster, error message: [doBuildSDTree] 3: Setting vertex buffer failed (number triangles 563596462)

    Hi stezza ,

    There are several memory optimizations which we recommend. Sorry if I repeat something you already know. They are described in this article: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/a...-CPU-rendering

    Please let me know if these don't help. Then we can follow up with additional ideas for optimizations (e.g. in regard of the displacement settings).
