My first cloud render. It impressed me how easy it was, but the render came out really soft. I set it to 4K; it seems to have render at 4K, but the detail isn't there. Locally, it is sharp as a tack, but the render cloud version looked fuzzy, soft, and way off. What am I doing wrong? The top is the cloud render, and the bottom is local. I did nothing except sent it to the cloud.

The cloud will not apply VFB corrections, maybe you have the sharper filter activated on your local machine. In the past I’ve had issues with the denoiser, on the cloud it was using by default the standard denoiser which is not as good as the Intel one, don’t know if that is fixed now.

I didn't have any VFB sharpening, but I did have denoiser enabled. I'll have to play around with it. 45 minutes and $3, you can't beat the cloud, but only if it produces usable images.

It does look like it's using a soft blur AA filter...weird.
3 bucks is nothing....I thought it was far more expensive tbh.
If you get it working right then it surely is a great deal to be sure, plus it's something I may look at using imminently.

It took three credit and it is $1 per credit. All the setting were default, so I am not sure why it isn't rendering the same as my local render. I am going to give it another try today.

Well certainly it seems cheap but it needs to be reliable for it to be of any use, so will watch the thread to see what transpires from your comments.

I just sent another one, and I can already tell it'll be good. Good, but it'll take about 2 hours, and 4X the credits. I am not sure what has changed, but nothing on my end (minus removing denoiser). I can get pretty decent renders on my laptop in an hour, so I am not sure if it is worth the extra time and money. My clients have never complained about the renders I send, that I have rendered in an hour using progressive, but I haven't been happy with them (pixel peeping). It is nice sending one to render while working on the next one.

I had to stop it. The detail was there, but it would cost around $20 to complete, and it was rendering my rail clone roof incorrectly. This might be like working with the GPU; change your workflow to get what you want. I have several interiors to render out next week, so I'll try it again with those.

Did the preview render the rc correctly? I think the docs state you need to turn off instancing mode in rc for it to render correctly (the preview will show this as incorrect as well).

                      Hello everyone,

Thanks for the details and the report!

glorybound, will it be convenient for you to share with us the scene which looks soft and fuzzy? We'd like to investigate what causes these issues and will follow up with you with what we find. If you'd like to share the scene, you can do this in a direct message here in the forum or through a support ticket. Please let me know what you think.

                      Many thanks,

I renderd it a second time, without changeing anything, and that time was fine.

Thanks for the follow-up, glorybound! Despite that the second time was successful, it might be a bug on our side. So if it's convenient for you, we'd greatly appreciate it if you can share an example scene with us.

Also I'd like to ask you about the render time. You mention that some jobs are slower than expected. Can you please share the IDs of these jobs (you can take the IDs from the job URLs)? We'll investigate whether there's any problem with them.

                          Many thanks,

I deleted the jobs already. Right now on another project, when I hit Preview, nothing happens. It looks like it is running through some stuff, but then, nothing happens.

With respect to the Preview function from the V-Ray for 3ds Max Cloud Submit UI, I guess you have reported the issues in the other forum topics. I'll follow up there.
