  • our usual dayly work some examples

    Hi Folks

This is our usual dayly work at the moment. We work for some Designstudios that after long time now have understould, that working together with 3d Professionals can improve their work.

We usualy get some freehand scribbles that often isnt done real logicl. so we get a frontview a sideview and than we have to decide what we have to do because the topview dosnt fit to the other views for example.

Those designcompanys now let us do suggestions how this could be done, an after some time we sent them first immages, so they tell allright, go on this direction or not, and we have to change a bit here and there.

usualy we do this changes 3 to 5 times untill they are happy.

they on the other hand dont have to do no more but giving the rough idea, and corrections, and get a very nice presentation medium. and they dont need to work no more with their own people on freehand scribbles for the presentation. It seems as if they have much more sucess this way at their customers. (meaning we are much to cheap )

last week we have done for example 20 Flacons which took us 3 People for working it out, and as usual no time for sleeping anymore.

Arrgh it makes fun to see the results, but at last we earn only about 30 € per hour with this. So much to much work , for few money, but on the other hand they come back each month with new things.

so now here are a few examples. also much Photoshop work in some of them, because they often want effects that physicaly are impossible. So at last its faster to use some photoshop work too.

    Tell me what you think

its done with a bit displacement

Excellent work Tom. The designers know that some of those bottles won't stand up, right?

they do know. At last the in between steps are rather a design help for them to see what at last they have done .

Also we sometimes have to mix in effects that realy doesnt exist. For example at the bottom of a Flacon we did, they had a logo that never would have been shown up looking through the bottle and through the refractions. But exactly this is what tey wanted. so Photoshopmixing was the work.

At last this isnt only my work, i have 2 Partners here that have become realy good through the last month.

"but at last we earn only about 30 € per hour with this"

Not bad at all!!! I get 12,5€ per hour, and most of the time I can't even sleep.

Now, about the work I'd say you have a very good studio setup. the images look very good.

                  Hey Tom,

Very nice Images. I see you guys got very good at producing them in a row now. Every Flacon looks special, every one looks good. (Number 3, 5 and 7 look especially nice to me)
I hope you can convince Ulli and Matthias to adjust the prices slightly.
If you sacrifice sleep for those "boring" Flacons, they must bring at least some more money.

                    Ah Sascha,

The Setup was worth the price for the artist, wasnt it
