very cool - you might wanna increase the image quality though /not from VRay/ and lower those highlights a bit in Photoshop if not in VRay

      Very great image!!!

      When is your wedding?
Mine will be in 5 weeks and 2 days!!!
We bought our rings last weekend. Maybe I should also try to model them.

      Best wishes,
      Mirko

        rings date

The date is on the back of the ring, written in full

        it's 24 june. :P

And, what do you mean with tune up the quality, but not with vray ?

            quality

            Yes, I thought so

but that seems not to be the only problem
the spotlike apearance also comes from the vray output.

I must say I used the setting shown in "very fast render times" in the render theory group.
I realise the quality would suffer, but otherwise this image (1000x1000pix) would take about 2 days rendertime, in stead of 2,5 hours

                comp

                1 G ram
                2,8 ghz

indeed comes close to a commodore 64

(the scene is my livingroom, with a small cloth with rings on it,
the scene I used to create a lifelike reflection)

Perhaps you should have used an Hdri for the reflections ? ..

                  Nice render by the way.

Your gold doesn't look quite right. Do you have it set to Monochrome Energy preservation mode?

nope the preservation mode is still RGB

the material is very reflective, a 0,7 glossiness
but the reflective color is yellowish

                        same rings, better composition

                          Hi vizuals!

Your quality is still bad - how do you save your image and in what format? Try .png with decent quality. And rendertime is way too much for this ... maybe if you post vray settings we can reduce it ...
                          Best Regards,
                          Tisho

damn TishoChaos that would be great

the image "bad" quality is due to the host I guess, I search for a better one

maybe one obvious sign would be the moddeling part in AutoCad
(read all about the stupidity of that, but I havent been doing otherwise)
