  • Personal Car test

I started a big ambitious personal project a while ago, and this isn't it - but it is the car from it...
Started off as a railclone exercise and it looked kind of cool so I made a loop out of it. Was a couple evenings work, scratched an itch!

The music is a personal edit of this track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exsGTbIoZyQ

You don't happen to have a GSx do you? I'm a Chevelle guy but always liked that Buick...

My fiance's grandfather did - he regrets selling it, even though it sat in his garage busted for a decade and he'd have still never fixed it to this day. he used to like to go for a smoke and look at it.

i'm more of a go kart fan, had a 90's elise for a short while in my 20's. I am now nearing 9 years without a fun car unfortunately - if only arch viz paid like google...!

Ha. I know that feeling of regret. Sold my '72 Chevelle 350 convertible to buy my first bike, a 600 Ninja back in '91. Rode that bike across country, crazy trip on a crotch rocket. I keep threatening my wife with a mid life crisis muscle car purchase, though it'll take 50+K to get something nice these days.

            Looks cool! -
As this is part of a larger project (or might not be) - Im interested to know your intended workflow for placing lights to follow the Railclone, looking at your wall lights/ceiling lights. ie. Using RC to generate a bunch of light fittings, but then having to manually place vraylights to follow it.
Assuming you have distributed the light fittings using RC

                Sorry, I missed this!
I played around with using a duplicate railclone object that had dummy objects in, which stayed turned off and when needed could be duplicated, converted to instances and then a find & replace could be done with the lights. It works ok, not ideal but i couldn't think of a better way - obviously I haven't done a more complex file with it yet but it might work for you.
