  • Campus exterior revisited (night scene)

The forum has been pretty quiet lately, so I thought I would post a series I did a while back. This is a set of night shots we did for a University. I'm not too happy about the way the vegitation turned out. We haven't upgraded to a 3D tree package yet. So all trees have been done in post.

wow great job! and i dont think the vegatation is all that bad. Might have given them a general curve move to darken them a bit though.

This is one setting I've never messed with in PS. Ill have to try this one.

wow are you serious? curves moves are probably the "setting" I use the most.

                      ARK_3D_bureau:

no, like the trees, the grass was done in post.
One reason it makes sense to "post" vegitation here is because in our office we are constantly tweaking and re-rendering the design. Anything added to the file like trees and grass displacement would require me to turn down my settings to get the scene rendered in time. By doing it in post I can just rerender the modified building design and insert that layer into the final image.

looking great, concret shouldn't reflect on it's whole surface, I would have put some dry zones but heh congrats, looking great
