    thanks tricky.
shop frond are self illuminate eggz with affect GI but for this project I had many many problems to render (thanks to Vlado and Natty for their support).
I'm of course agree with you for the rpc
This animation had a very good soundtrack make by a professionnal but for the sharing size and the "coherence" because for sharing I have cut the project and the sound haven't any sense with the cutting (I have cut all the présentation and a part of 3D).
Music Sound like AIR if you know.

We like Air. Do you employ someone to write the music for you?

Tricky, can you show me just a sample of your people to see how they look?
          Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I'll have a look.

Regarding people, we don't have any good alternatives. We use RPC *only* if we must - failing that, we just use still images of people that we have masked off ourselves, with more appropriate lighting. Obviously these do not move, but used sparingly, they can look OK.

Another alternative that we may look into is Low Polygon People. These do not move either, but they are actually *in* the scene, and so react to lighting and GI. This may counter the fact that they don't move. I think I have seen one library of low poly people that have skeletons attached ready for animating with Character Studio - that might be worth looking into if you can download realistic, ready made bip files.
            Kind Regards,

ok, in the past I had filmed friends and other people on a blue screen in studio in motion and putting them in combustion, but it's really difficult to have a good intégration.
It's the most reallistic thing that I have do to make moving people in real motion (walking). If I can I'll show you a sample
I had download sample of lowpoly some sample can move (but like you have said we must animate them alone ), I think the GI isn't a real problem.

very good work on an impressive scale. must have been an intense 3 months to do all that by yourself!

I think the exteriors work really well and the self-illum shop fronts work well for animation as you only see glimpses of them. It's important for a project of this nature to look busy, and you've certainly managed that. I agree though, it's about time someone came out with some decent people - low-poly are the best solution at present, but there's not that many of them, so you'd struggle to get enough variety with them in a project on this scale.

Have to say though, I feel sorry for that poor woman at 03.29 who appears to have been impaled on the handrail - what a nasty way to go!

                  Keep up the good work.

Excellent work man. All very good and convincing. I would say that the watermark and the compression largely make the people seem fit into the scene better.

Lowpoly people also sell a .bip pack to make there rigged people move. There is also another company called Axyz-design

                    http://www.axyz-design.com/

                    that provides a similar resource.

Could you give us an idea of your render settings and times ?

                    thanks

                      thanks all.
I will try lowpoly people, but i am fussy because I have buy around 5 000€ euros of rpc...and lowpoly are expensive.

For the settings, it's very hard to explain all, but I can say that for extérior just one direct light as sunlight car, tree, sky and some other things are matte with effects in compositing.
Interior: sunlight, some vray lights and spot to cast color shadow from the hanging garden. the rest is light material to have a sort of exposure control(no color mapping, it was an old vray version). first bounce irmap very low and second QMC 1. for the interior. escalators, lift and peoples are matte. render about 10min per frame and some time 20 min.
With saved irmap but with a hight level of antialiasing to clear flicking with some maps.
                      Cheers

                        very nice work Priad
The exterior scene is great, perhaps too much people in the interior one...

Walking people was what was missing I think.
now it's near perfect too me.

                          Nice job.

What is your total CPU power for rendering?
