ok i didnt have time to make smaller web versions but this was my last project. (note: i aint to prowd of it so go ahead and rip it apart) i just coulnt get the right brushed stainless steel look on those walls. and the bathroom had too much black granite for my liking.

well I think they look pretty good. One suggestion though: I would recommend you start beveling edges whenever possible. I try and bevel anything I can, even if its only once. Your bathroom sinks are screaming for it.

On the lobby, you might try throwing in some specular only omnis set to some different colors to get some more interesting reflections on the brushed aluminum. I usually use a diffuse map of some brushed aluminum for the main look then add a fairly subtle reflection on top of that so it doesn't look out of place. usually looks fairly good.

heres an example. not the greatest but you get the idea

Nice scenes Elf, i would like to see more light inside those rooms. What are your rendertimes? and PC.... thanks

        Oh... very nice percy!!...

I am working on a similar scene, getting very high rendertimes trying to render at 2400x1250 pixel.... something like 12h irmap+lighcache and .. like 24h final rendering.... so.. i'm getting confused because with older version i never got something similar.

But.. i don't want to go off topic.. maybe i will discuss about it in another thread.

very nice render. i'm agree for the brushed metal sink, and in the lobby picture I don't really understand your ground with the circle.
          Good GI indeed.
I'm curious about your render time.

well. a: there is alot of light in those scenes. its just that the black surfaces like i was explaining in the render theory secton, is sucking up all the light. i had to do alot of faking in the bathroom scene. also the render times were about 10 hours however thats not a reliable time since i recently discovered that that computer is messing around and giving really slow render times. grrr. ill need to reformat it (and will be needing another auth code from our friendly neighbourhood chaos guys) hehe
