Very nice modelling! The expression on the characters face also looks very good as well as the textures. Is this a lowpoly model? Keep up the good work I’m willing to see the out come of this project.
man he is going to look cool in animation. is this for a game intro?

Great modelling and texturing, can u care to explain a bit about the metal texture? how did u get all those horizontal rugged metal lines? and im guessing you are using a lot the unwrap uvw ? does it has some displacement going on?
Zero One 010110:
- Im using a wary of technics. Painting by hand and ref pictures of metal and so on.
In this texture (the body) i have like 5-7 deiffrent metal types, and painted details. Also a displacement map made in Zbrush
(Also extremley handy to make fine detailed bump maps in).
The lighting is also big part of making the metal. The character stands in a "crater" so the HDRI lightning dont over expose it to mutch
(walls prevent that), just to give it it's reflections. Then main spot light.
yes, the whole character is UV Unwraped by hand. hehe the most time consuming and boring part of all, but a must.
Just a quick question. The scratch details that you have on the color and more obvious on the bump map. Did you paint all these by hand in PS? or was it part of an image?
Do you have a special scratch brush or particular technic that you able to share, cause I can never seem to get realisitc looking scratches when i want to.
The scratches are from images, would be a pain to try and paint for hand. I have painted in "Hero" cuts, rest is fill cuts or scratches, Also by having good Ref pictures one can use, makes it more realistic looking. IMO
Trying to paint 100% of it would onley (often anyway) result in a poor textur wich would look washed out in the render. Have been so for me anyways
