  • A+U 415

This is not really an upload as I can't because of copyright issues but if any of you have access to A+U (Architecture + Urbanism) issue 415 my office PLOT is featured from page 74-104.

    I'm responsible for all 3D except pages 78, 79, 98..

No cover feature for me though..

    cheers,
    K.

it's a magazine and I haven't been able to locate their homepage, unfortunately..

However at www.plot.dk the following projects (in alphabetical order) contain 3D from me.

        AKS
        BÃ…D
        EPO
        ESSO
        K3B1
        K3B2
        PSY2
        STA
        VEJ
        VEJB
        VM
        UME

It's not photorealistic at all as most of the viz'ing here is for sketch projects and competitions where a more "abstract" level of detail is desired.

        cheers,
        K.

Nice schematic style, the lighting studies for the AKS are very appealing. Way to make people work to see your stuff though!

We all feel the pain. Most of our stuff is under NDA. Sometimes we can't put stuff on our website till after a year or so.

My favorite is ARK. Everyone should check it out and have some fun.

            Nice work too.
            www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

images tie in really well with the physical models. pretty cool stuff

Personally Im unable to work like this though...has to be full detail and a final design or i struggle with seing where the content is coming from...which mostly seems to end up being everything but the building (eg awesome water, grass, trees and people cutout with just some rough abstract thrown -together designerwank form for a building).

haha that sounds really bad but im just amased you can produce these style images (huge challenge for some of us). the examples you show are really good, im just venting on my personal struggle against clients who provide vague details. Anyone else get that? For example the designer shows you a rectangle on the plan and somehow you have to make it into a fully detailed coffee machine without any reference material being provided which then ends up being the "wrong model" after you present preliminaries. My next unspecified coffee machine is going to be a frosted glass cube with a load of perfect scantily clad whores posing around holding bags of coffee

im so going to modify this post later

                  UME is brilliant

But yeah talk about making it tough to see you work.

I know and I'm sorry, but I don't think the office will be too keen on me publishing the stuff elsewhere on the net.

UME is my favorite as well, all renderings were done A1 150 dpi and did make for some excellent prints. Also the night shot of "VEJB" is quite nice I think.

I know the style is far from photorealistic, but we rarely do sales material style renderings in-house and for competitions a more schematic/diagrammatic look is often desired. The last "photoreal" was the VM which were done with scanline and radiosity a looong time ago.

BTW I appreciate the effort you guys put in to looking at my stuff, as I myself is usually put off by links in the image uploads section, definitely an area open to approvements for me.

                    Cheers,
                    K.

A small tip for the website: click on either of the four sorting methods, then quickly click in the "project selection area".. not much, just a bit of fun.
