i hate landscaping.

we tend to re-texture with vray mats in max. They are very heavy though in a scene - they usually get some optimisation (multi res is good for this) and they do take a while to render. If you are at ground level a lot you can mix them up with dirty ol rpc for good measure.

I noticed that some of the images are quite grainy - i think this is a compression issue - especially on that car!

sorry, the water.... it is actually a really simple material - it is what you do beneath the water that makes the difference. Most of the control as to the look of the image happens there.
