    Hey all,
    Someone asked me to see how the dome lighting worked on interior scenes.
    Pretty damn well is the answer.

    I threw these hdr images together to render something...
    Note the multiple shadows with differing colors to them

      Thanks for posting the images throb. Both the exteriors (in other thread) and interiors look great. The multiple shadows are pretty impressive. Looking forward to this feature.

        This is just an interior HDR right? A room with walls wouldn't be using this.

          yeah this is an interior HDR using the new dome light.

          i also did a spin test where i spun the dome light around and there is no splotchy stuff !

            looks good throb.
            There is a funny white outline around the shape against the backgrouond in the animation.
            Any idea what it is?

              Probably need to check "affect background" under color mapping.

                you might want to try some different materials on your test objects. Take materials from the background, like a wood, a metal, wall paper and so on, then you could really tweak the HDR to match up the object colors or... adjust the materials of the test object till they match up with the background
