  • my first render with vray - some C & C please

Hi this is my first post and my first render using vray. I've obviously been practicing ever since I got Vray and I would appreciate some C & C's to see if I'm heading in the right direction.

    Thanks

    Steve

Some good work there. However, it highlights the eternal problem with these apartment-type shots: that being, "where can I put my camera to achieve a nice, open, airy composition?"

I always find that spaces look deceptively tight when viewed through a Max camera - wide angles rarely help.

Very cool, looks good . A problem I find I have is that at the back of an appartment it gets dark. I see this in yours. What I do is turn on a couple of those lights you have fitings for. I would turn a couple on in the kitchen and in the hall to just add a little more ilumination to those areas.

Great job for a first post, my first couple of projects were not lit as well as yours is

hi tricky, totally agree with you on this point. I've played with the camera lens angle and postion so much on this job its untrue...that said, its a typicle english apartment - v.v.v. small and not cheap!!

                thanks for your comments

                kind regards

Only crit is the grey windows in the last image...probably just overlooked
Oh ya, and the glasses look 'smoked' in the first

Everton got beat by Wigan? I'll never hear the end of that from my Wife's sister - big Wigan fan! Still, I'd rather be supporting a 1st Division team anyway - proper football!
