Please let me know your C&C on this image. I mostly make studio like renderings, this is one of the first outdoor renderings.

      It's a bit grainy.
The steel texture looks good and certainly looks hot in there!

What a cool bbq pit design! I agree, a bit grainy, but it looks stylized also.

The grass is really nice, how did you do it?

nice image Gijs did you use the latest build on that one?

as for the bbq itself I dont think it would sell well in the us as one steak would take up the whole thing

            Thanks all for the comments,

The grain will be reduced for a final image. These renderings took only about 10 minutes each

Grass is Vray Fur, also between the tiles.

The working diameter is about 50cm, do you have that kind of steaks ?

could you explain how you did the grass?

tried with fur the other time but did not get a nice result.

              regards

50cm is about 20inches so a good 16 oz / .5 kilo steak would probably take most of it up......mmmm now I'm getting hungry

Whoa, I had a car that wass smaller than this

Gijs, I think your goal is quite achieve, looks like a studio photo of an exterior scene. Nice grass

                      Thanks Eric and thablanch!

I am not quite happy yet with the fact that I can't get the sky visible in the rendering. This has of course to do with tone mapping and I am currently experimenting with blending different exposures together.

@Stephan: I will send you the grass settings tomorrow, so you can have a look.
