This is not entirely true, as highlights MAY NOT appear. As I am looking at his wood - material, i think the problem lays there, not in the lighting.

And to be more clear... notice there are no lights ON inside... but the table is grabbing the Skylight, which is due to its material mainly.

    Hi Nikki

Your image is fantastic and I agree with your point about the table - could you share your matl settings for the table in your scene as thats the kind of effect i would like to achieve.

these are the settings I'm using at the moment, but the effect I'm getting isn't right

    regards

      hi steve,
i think you should change your wood refection colour towards grey, because i see now is black, and it won't reflect anything if it's black. (correct, nikki?)

Absolutely correct - That's what I was also saying.

For that low (Glossy 0,5) I would also suggest You raise your subdivisions of the Material, otherwise You will get it guite noisy and grainy... At least 20(24) for smoother result... Mind also the QMC sampler.

        Best regards,

What is with the unnatural camera angles and moves? I am glad you figured out the easing - but don't over do it.
