    Hi All,

Taken the plunge and handed in my notice to go freelance in the new year, taking my beloved vray (1.5???) with me. Now where's that smiley for absolutely terrified? Don't have confirmed jobs yet, just a few 'yeh go for it we'll give you some work'- oh how i hope they're good to their word!!

This was the last image spat out my overworked laptop, any comments? - all very appreciated. The thing that makes me laugh is that this particular building will be in a part of northern England that gets days like this about twice a year, ho ho.

    Thanks
    Dougie

          Nice work Dougie.
The tree on the left hand side looks good.
Plant underneath looks a touch large though, wouldn't you say?

Heh, your absolutely right Geoff! - guilty of the 'fill-up-space-make-plants-bigger' misconception....you just get elephantine flowers (or maybe just fed with miracle grow?)

            Thanks all!

Congrats. Jumping in feet first is the only way to go. If you wait until you have a "big enough" client base, you will never quit your day job. Once you start freelancing though, the work will come in, especially with your mad skillz. Good luck.

How did you do the tree and shadows? They both look excellent.

                  Thanks Clifton,

Nothing special really, trees are mesh not proxies, opacity leaves. The tree for the main shadow is there, outside of the field of vision. As for shadows...just area's on a direct, with just a little of my own hand-touched vignette (a must for depth IMO)
