  • Light leaking in celing WIP

Here is a wip. I am not too sure what is happening to the lighting in the ceiling here.

This is irr map high/light cache at 300/

    Thanks

If you have the "Blur GI" parameter in the irradiance map settings to more than 0.0 - set it to 0.0 and see if this helps.

    Best regards,

      Thanks Vlado,

The blur gi was at 0.0. Actually a little repositioning of the lights did the trick.

Hmm - I did the region render and it looked ok. Then while rendering the whole image it happened again just like this. The lights are vray planes default subs.

        Thanks

I would first turn off the 2nd bounce and do a test render so you can see which calc phase is causing that. Do you have 'store direct light' check in your light cache settings? If it is, you could try turning it off which may help. Then you could try turning on 'check sample visibility' in the IR map settings.

What is your setup for those lights? If you have those as a Vray light material and have it turned up too high, that might cause some problems too. I assume you have Vray lights at all the fluourescent fixtures - where do you have those placed? Maybe lower them a little bit more.

Anyways, with a little detective work we will get you all fixed up.

            Good tips tim. Thanks!

I had moved the lights around (from top of the grid to the bottom) and I thought it did the trick but no. They are all vray lights. I believe I have check sample vis. checked but after this is done rendering I will put your suggestions to the scene and see what I get.

            Thanks

I ma rendering now but it looks like changing the LC from 400 - 1000 is working fine.

              Thanks Tim!
