Unfortunately I do not have the ParticleFlow Toolbox #1. But I think the script should also work without that plugin. The result might be different, but the particle-to-spline transformation should also work fine.
Is there anybody who could modify the script to work without the ParticleFlow Toolbox? I am not familiar with scripting!

The script is ran simply with the PF Source selected. There are some variables in the script that are kind of important that are discussed in the German Tut...I personally do not need an interface as I wrote the script, but for others, it would sure be a help (if I ever get some time :P ). The variables define the frame range to be processed, and the frame interval to place Spline Knots.
endOfPFAnimation is used to get a final count on the particles, usually it will be the same as EndFrame
fIncrmnt is the frame increment
Also, this should support Spawning, but the branched particles do not always line up as the spawn times are usually not at the interval a Knot is placed...I am sure there could be a way to do this, but I didn't need it when I wrote the script.
As for an animated version, I have given it some thought, but not enough to try and come up with something. There was a guy at the Orbaz forum that was going to attempt it, I don't know how far he got. Oleg mentioned once that this kind of feature was on his to do list...but who know if it still is and when we might see anything.

Mirko - Can you send me that scene. I can't read that error message.
One thing however that pops out at me is the spelling of "particlePosition" in that error. It looks like it is spelled "particlePosititon"
Try using the this version of the script...
