Simply stunning as always Geoff. Just the Barecelona's that need tweaking, the rest of the texturing is spot on.

Wow. thanks for the praise guys.
Yeah there are a few other things that bother me on these renders, namely the texturing around the windows is a bit dodgy. The floor texture is a bit lo res too. I'll adjust these one day.

@TRGraphics yeah I so want to do 3d full time. This has taken me a while to do, but I only do an hour a night every now and again and I've tweaked the design as I've gone on. Most of my work for Spiral was done in about 1 to 2 days for each render.
The wood texture I made myself, with my camera. My floor textures I normally get off floor manufactures websites, and stitch them together and colour correct as necessary.

I've got to sort out a portfolio which means this will be my last stair design for a while I love designing stuff too

I must say I love your stair! Is it your design? Will it be built somewhere?

edit: One thing, the brick wall seems a bit flat. Just that Otherwise A great rendering. I have to check out that gamma thing...

          Great work geof!
I agree about the wall texture and your chamfer are a bit to big IMO (on the roof).
          =:-/

            ....

            Absolutely fabulous work!
You should try some exterior scenes if you really want to play - and I'd definately recommend at least some PT work in 3D - you've got real talent.

@lukx the vismaster website can be tricky to navigate.

Great rendering! Where did you get the brick texture? Lots of work in Photoshop? The maps usually are not big enough to cover a big wall without seeing tiling!

I made the brick texture map out of a very hires photo (of a stair!)
It was quite a small area, so I copied and mirrored it and stuck it all together again so it 4 times the original size.
Spent a bit of time getting it to tile which was probably pointless as it's a pretty large map!

......particularly good for a 2 year old I should add.
The talent just seems to be getting younger and younger these days!
