Thanks Matt. Here is a link to the topic where I got the metal settings. I think I changed them a little.

A very talented guy named Keith, who works with Percydaman came up with that mat.

neat and very good looking images. even though I agree that maybe the window in the second/earlier view might still need some work, I think I like it more than the first one.

            Nice work Frances.
Texturing and materials is nicely done, and all the wood grain is going the right way!!

My only comment would be the balance between artificial lights and natural daylight coming through the windows.
The natural light would be much stronger illumination and more pronounced, casting stronger shadows than the interior lights.
            Otherwise, excellent images.

              great work , as always.
Just saw your post in the maxwell forum as well..
could you post the same angle done with vray compared to maxwell + some render times and which one was easier to set up for you?
              Thanks

I don't have any renders with the same camera angle. The renders here took about 9 hours at 1200x900. The MW renders were at 20+ hours (1200x900) when I stopped them. The posted renders were at 17+ hours.
I don't think either one was easier than the other to set up when you weigh all the elements that make up a render together.

I prefer not to post the MW images here because I don't want to be involved in a pro/con discussion about the two engines.
