  • Period House Exterior-

    Hi all,
just completed this exterior, Unfortunatley its not my house (

I found it difficult to show off my newely purchased arroway textures as I could only show the two buildings in complete view with a distant camera.
    appreciate any CC,

    thanks,
    Tom

I think the buildings in the background need a little less contrast to sit with the foreground since it looks a little dusty and I think the bg shadows are a little too sharp - Looks really really good though, I know the type of house and weather well...

      Nice work Tom,
A lot of good modeling in there, just wondering how you did the wall climbing ivy plant ?

      Cheers

i like it, wouldn't let Father Ted near it tho!

something seems odd about the sky?

nice! Would definetly change the sky though. Everything is bright and saturated except the sky which is dark and dull... would look much better with a brighter "happier" blue sky IMO.

          but the rest - nice!

I agree, great image. Nice composition, modeling and lighting.

I concur with the sky comments, something brighter would be better IMO.

Is the car to the left a photo or model? It stands out a bit too much for my liking.

              thanks for feedback,
@joconnell, agreed, I know what you mean, damm I love those old houses
@tdarcy, sorry to disappoint but the climing ivy is completely Photoshopped into the scene, time was tight so I laid off on 3D plants, modelling wasnt that hard just a lot of boxes.
@skogskalle/nvanherpt Initially I had a bright sky (simple gradient) in for some reason it looked too clean as I always like a few clouds in the scene I should have used a better (less magenta) sky image.
@mcphep, car is from Real world imagery (Photo)

              Cheers,
              Tom
