  • WIP Interior (Help With Lighting)

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to VRAY (first rendering). I'm having trouble getting the rendering I am currently working on bright enough. Please help.

    Thanks in advance!

i would say your rendering is not too bad, especially for a first go. I don't think your lighting distribution is too far away, but i'd but your secondary bounces to 1.0 where it is currently 0.85 if you want to brighten it up. Also, to brighten it up, use LightCache as your secondary bounces engine. At the moment you have 6 secondary bounces using QMC - LightCache will give you all bounces.

Also IMHO - try some glossy reflections on the floor

Also, try adjusting the exposure with color mapping. On interiors, I used to turn up the multipliers to Dark 2.0 and Light 1.5 (with linear or HSV) until I switched to LWF.

My thanks to everyone who gave input on my initial post (SV, DaForce and Clifton Santiago)! I have made some revisions based on that input aswell as others. C&C is greatly apprectiated. This is still a WIP.

                nice!

if you have time, you might want to change the gi environment (skylight) colour to a bit blueish since your background is blue. it will somehow match the colour between the foreground and the background.

                have a nice day

(DaForce) Yep, my background is starting to look a little like nuclear fall out.

(dominiquelaksmama) I agree, the environment color is off. I was planning on tweaking that a little.

                  Thanks again for the replies!
