    this time theres no DOF, no PS, no caustics, just pure vray render...as it is i am sort of happy with it...

          actually i did not apply it at all for this image, as it is a separate render with no post processing afterwards.
          ...it was agood tip though...thanks again daforce...

              anyway one of the guys (loocas duber)on the maxarea forum suggested comping the image in ps...addditive blending real rgbpass and refraction pass to achieve light scattering in the glass...here is the result

              ill try to play with translucency a bit in the glassmat to see the difference between comping and straight render..
