Yeah, I have LWF all figured out ( I think) and I've gotten good results on interiors, but exteriors are a problem. I had a vray sphere light for sun, set at 0.3 (no decay of course) with a vray dome light for environment set at 0.2 and things were about the right brightness, but the contrast was still too low. No maps, just a light grey override material. And IR (high)/QMC (3 bounces).
Maybe it only works Vray Sun/Sky? I may be the last on this forum with only 1.47.03, so I can't use it.
I could contrast adjust it in photoshop, but that defeats the purpose of gamma correction to begin with...
