Yeah, I have LWF all figured out ( I think) and I've gotten good results on interiors, but exteriors are a problem. I had a vray sphere light for sun, set at 0.3 (no decay of course) with a vray dome light for environment set at 0.2 and things were about the right brightness, but the contrast was still too low. No maps, just a light grey override material. And IR (high)/QMC (3 bounces).

Maybe it only works Vray Sun/Sky? I may be the last on this forum with only 1.47.03, so I can't use it.

I could contrast adjust it in photoshop, but that defeats the purpose of gamma correction to begin with...

don't worry - you're not the only one.
spare a thought for us poor viz users who still have to use 1.46.03...

I didn't see an exterior scene posted by flipside, just those throb renderings. I am familiar with throb's scene and tutorial, which I think was one of the first. But the lights from his renderings are not the same as in his sample file based on my rendering results vs. his.

If someone has an exterior scene with good lighting results in LWF they should post it.

I could post my less than desirable exterior LWF in a new post, but there are so many LWF threads already...
