Yes, camera correction then view change. I did overlook it. Ill call it
a boat.
Two sided mat on the shades. sun and sky, of course. Reinhard color
mapping.
The render time for this was under 20 minutes.
No TLC, just a quick (and lopsided ) test scene. Mostly I wanted to
see how the sun/sky looked in an interior.

What setting did you use for the Reinhard color mapping?
I am trying to get my head around the (pseudo) Linear workflow: that is using a colour correct modifier on all colour swatch based materials, having the 3dsmax gamma set to 2.2, and using vrays Gamma colour mapping with 1/.4545. Just when I got my head around all these settings and now we have Reinhard and real life cameras with f-stops and shutter speeds.
I used a burn value of .75. I lowered all light values and used 2.2 curve. I also turned the gamma setting down to about .5 I think.
Shadows : I increased the size multiplier for the sun. I also put the vraysky into an output map with a 2 or 3 multipier to compensate for the very low sun settings.(I used a standard camera). I have been testing the physical camera, and have had much better results.
