    hi
some images from a project i've been working on. finally got round to using a blend filter (takes a bit of a while to get the hang of how i works- adds a bit of time to the render> needed to test a few settings to see the effects. the help is a little vague, but i guess you need to get a feel for it) might be a bit too strong for this one? the size is 6 or 7, and the blend value 0.1
time went up to about 30 minutes a render with blend. was about 10 or 15 before. rocks texture is displacement. not totally satisfied with them, but they'll do.. kinda tricky getting a texture to match site photos- the rocks are quite varied..
pretty awesome project. site runs over a stream/ gorge. the green grassed area really seemed to complement it. a bit stark otherwise. thinking of adding some potted plants to soften it a bit.
what do you think. c& c welcome.
awesome seeing the level of work on this site, you guys rock. really inspiring.

hmm, I think it has good potential once you sort a few issues out.

I know you mention its a bad site but you gotta add some more grass/landscaping, thats my personal opinion. Also the texture mapping is poor on the rock.
2)what AA are yuo using, looks like Area, Try Catmull Rom
3)the stone pillar walls, have you ever seen such walls with sharp corners? do a little bit of polymodelling/editing on them to introduce chamfers, cuts, irregurality into them and add a bump or displacement map to the material, lower the blur value of the bitmap textures (you probably have them at the default 1, try .1.

      hope that helps,
