Im a little frustrated here. i cant get much contrast in an image using LWF. unless post processed. any post processing done here? can u show 1 straight from vray frame of this animation??
any suggestion for an advanced vray material/texture setup using LWF? once i use Color correct the image tend to become more of a linear image. otherwise, colors tend to wash out and tight corners tend to brighten up.
Hey Ryan. There was no post proccessing in this animation. This was just
loaded into ram player. The settings that I used for LWF :
Viz gamma set to 2.2. Linear color mapping. 0.7 linear spinner. SRGB button on. With this much "gamma" going on I actually use the color correct plugin to lighten some of the textures back up. With these setings
the wood becomes to dark because of the gamma settings. So I set the color correct to gamma of .5 for the wood. It probably sounds strange, but
I like the overall contrast with this method. Then I set the output gamma
in the save dialog to 2.2 and saved as a 16 bit tiff. Now if I am going to do any post I would just save at the default gamma and do the color correction in post.
