Wow, 38 hrs? At what resolution? I'm wondering if QMC/LC would be any slower? Especially if you're also using detail enhancement, which is QMC anyway, isn't it?

Yep I totaly agree with you QMC could be faster.
I have started the render in QMC then I have stoped it to restart in irrmap, may be my mistake
I need a teacher for QMC hehe
If someone have some waste time

              38h!!
              that s insane! (i think!?)
or ur on a pentium III?

i think u might have some insane high sttings around there...
i honestly believe that image should render on my x2 4200 around 2-4 hours max at that resolution...but i can be wrong!

Oh, I meant I thought QMC would be faster. Especially with the light leaks/halos you are getting around some details... as a result the image looks great until you look at the larger version.

Either that or skip the DE and maybe use Very High settings for IR map and very high subdivs on LC.

very nice image. cant really see anything that can be improved although the chrome elements look a bit too perfect and mirror-like which seems to be highlighting a few of the sharper corners of these objects

really good and nice detail !!!

                            Nice pic, great job !

Belle image et les ornements ont du être bien chauds à modéliser (mmm le cadre du tableau...). Beau boulot !

                              Image Question

How are you guys/gals getting such great job? Or are most of these images for fun? I have been working in the industry for 15 years and I have only had a handful of interior image requests.

I would assume its your client base. There is a lot more open space in Minnesota than in Europe. Our clients are often doing interior renovations in historic fabric, whereas your clients are doing a lot of new build work. I used to live in Houston, Texas and I had a lot more exterior visualization work there.
