here is a project we've been working. taken a while, but almost there. have added some plants in since these renders, and working on some details. just wanted to get impressions on the lighting.
oh, and there is a gaping hole in the mesh by the driveway. booleans have been wreaking havoc on the mesh. have had to redraw a lot of polyogons..
everything is pretty standard.
the light is a max sun (direct light) . multiplier 1. colour mapping linear - unchanged. sky multiplier 1 and light blue. (surprisingly i didn't change any of these- the grass looks a little darker with the displacement on now)
played around with the position of the sun quite a lot. rendered sequences at different times of the day.
still using 1.47.03 waiting to make the jump to 1.5 . vray sun looks cool. but the camera controls and sun sound like they might take some getting used to. i guess old methods of workflow will still be usable on the new version, it just has new features?

the next images show a problem i've been having with displacement maps. they displace in wierd directions on some parts oft the geometry, and make noise. so just using non-displaced roof. i just rendered one without displacement or map, and there is still noise on that piece. not sure why.. ?
