  • Apartment interior

Been a while since I had chance to play around, but weve had a quiet period so I'm trying new things. First proper internal, about 1 1/2 days.

    Crit welcome

edit: LWF, Ir + QMC, detail enhancement, some other stuff. If you want any specifics, just ask.

    nice images!
what i find a bit strange are these velvet chairs, but maybe a personal thing. and in 2nd image some artifacts, but think its compression thing.

    again nice ones, great contrast!

    best regards

Great image... is Evermotion paying you to have their logo on your planter?

Thanks, haha, I was originally going to use the max logo to break it up before I saw theirs, but they look the same anyway so I left their texture on and just re-did the settings.

I know what you mean, to be honest it was a result of random experimentation so i'm not even sure what material its supposed to be, I just really like the way it looks, haha. Kind of plasticy and hard wearing yet soft/comfortable.

As far as the material goes, its pretty basic - diffuse is just colour correct with falloff and a bitmap, soft wide highlights with reflection controlled by the same bitmap, and a bump map of the same.

great job. the falloff just needs to be toned down a little.

                looks awesome. very realistic.
the dark shadows give it a realisitc/ photo effect. looks very dark on my computer. maybe because i'm working on CRT monitor. (hard drive on other pc just bombed out reminds me to back up regularly.. . didn't lose anything, luckily) )
still figuring out the linear space thing, but starting to sink in.

                nice work!

Looks pretty good, maybe the radius on the detail enhancement was a bit small causing that dirty corner in the first image. Also using QMC + DE is somewhat redundant. Probably better to use LC then let the DE use QMC on the details.

Thanks, I'd never used it before so didnt know how to apply it.

Mark - theres a very dull one behind the camera pointing into the scene, as with just using light from the windows it was a bit too dark.

                          Thanks for the comments everyone!

I had another question if you don't mind

Your interior walls look really good !, are they just a solid color or texture ? Did you add any bump mapping to them ?

                              Thanks !
