Here is a render of the most expensive car in the world.
The render is not final, there some points to fix for the final image.

Th image was made on 3DS Max 9 64bits rendered with Vray 1.5RC3 64 bits

might just try and add a 2.2 gamma in the colormapping, to see if the pitch black areas to the right get some more brightness in.
It looks a bit too dark to my eyes: i can't quite make out the shape of the vehicle...

Nice environment, anyways, and i suppose also nice car modelling

the right side ok the image is not black, there is some light in this part.If you don't see the details, maybe your display is too dark (ours are calibrated to 120 cd/m2 with 2.2 gamma and 6500K color)

      Have a nice day.

Yeah, I agree with Lele, looks so dark that composition remains undefined as well as the overall shape of the car.
I do like renders which hide some parts of the model, but in this case, the environment is more important than the car itself, and that's because of the lighting. Plus u have 2 hot points and imo the fans on the back grab more your attention than the car. It looks like it is a frame from an animation more than a still.

I have my monitor calibrated to the same params with the Spyder and the right side looks almost black.

Dont misunderstand me, I like it, but dont really know what should be the important thing there.

        Anyway, good work!

I've just looked at it on a calibrated monitor & it is a lot lighter - however it's still quite difficult to make out the form of the car...

          Lovely background though!

Yes the light in backgroung that is more important than the car is a problem to solve in the final render.
the orientation of the car too. it's not the better point of view for this car

for the global lighting, too dark, we will solve this too in the final render.

well...i m on a calibrated monitor, and it looks off to me...although the subject (car) is nearly visible u have to concentrate to look away from the strong lighted areas...

overall mood is quite attracting but the environment is way more relevant in the composition than the car itself...so i think lele s words r wise enough!

hope to see the final output!
                good work imo!

We have made the car in this environment because this car is THE sport car by nature, and many tests have been done in blowers like this. So It was natural to put the car here.
That's our point of view of course.

Would be nice to see a nova demo of that scene. Though your posted demo on vertice website is very very nice already, the environment is definetly not!

The Nova demo was made by Nova team, we only give them the car model, that's why the environment is not the same. If you look at he demo, you will see that some parts of the car have been simplified for the Nova demo (the engine, not seen in this image is the best example)

We are thinking about a new Nova demo of this car, in this environment. It's not sur at all due to the complexity of the model and the environment.

here is a WIP of the original engine not simplified. All is geometry.

Cool - what did you use as reference for the dimensions of that car?

                              Nah Engine doesn't match 100%
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?
