Loft design by me for this and other interior renderings. The vraysun is the only light. Physical camera and vraysky used with qmc/lc.

Thanks, I forgot to mention. The volume light was done in photoshop in about 5 minutes.

That is one of the sweetest interior renders I have seen for quite some time.
        Well done!!

Whats your process for doing the volume light? Its subtle but effective.

Looks great - very atmospheric. What was the rendering time like?

The only things that look a little odd are the brick arches, which might look better being flush to the wall. The one in the middle is particularly strange - not sure if it's the texture mapping or the smoothing on the object.

I too would be interested to hear your PS technique for the volumetric lighting.

Thanks for the compliments. The volume light was created on a seperate layer in photoshop with a gradient going from white (at the window) to transparentin the general shape of the rays. A guassian blur was then applied to soften the edges. After that, areas were erased with a soft brush. Finally, the oppacity was adjusted to make it subtle.

As for the plants, everything in the scene, except for the volume light, is a 3d object.

A special thanks to Zuliban for the lc couch. I modified the couch to make the chairs. Unfortunately, the link to the chair model was broken.
