Sorry to cause the fuss guys, but it is how I feel.

If you notice a lot of us "original users" are gone from this board (save DaForce and Percy), and I feel this is exactly the reason why. I only get 5 mins a week to check out what is going on here, and more and more I end up wasting it viewing (and now responding) to posts like this.

Eric did not post this image for help, he just posted it like everything else he does. Maybe if he would have asked for feedback about something specific and said so in the title of the post, I wouldn't have been so offended. We all have to make a living, and sometimes this happens - I know I have worked on my fair share of many crap buildings (working on an ugly condo complex in the middle of nowhere now), and have been forced by clients or time restraints to put out something that wasn't very nice to look at, but I don't subject you all to it and post every image.

Eric, since you asked: The camera cropping needs work and camera correction (the building is falling over). Add more sky and less street (zoom in), adjust clouds, check the scale of everything, add model details (building and site), work on materials (vray-materials.de) and lighting, photoshop elements have different lighting.... what do you want me to say here?

If this alienates me from the board, then so be it. Over my 5min quota this week. Maybe? I'll be back next week.

he didn't have to explicitely ask for suggestions for him to know he was going to get some. You would have to be half blind to not see it still could use alot of improvement. I know alot of people post finished work here thats too far finished to really be able to make any suggested changes, but they post their work anyways, knowing they'll get em.

I feel that I must apologize I guess for wasting everyone's time with this post. I did not comment before, but now I feel I must.

One: What exactly is the issue? Is it that you feel I wasted YOUR time? I mean...if you feel like it wastes your time....why did you even post at all. I know that work pales in comparison to most, but honestly like anything else, you get better with time. The WHOLE point of the post was to give myself a pat on the back for getting something together for the client in like 2 hours and got additional jobs from it.

And what the hell does "he just posted it like everything else he does." mean.

Adam...you make me want to strangle small kittens in public.....

"what do you want me to say here? " Absolutley nothing more would be fine by me. Isn't there a mute button?

                          Eric,

Dont let mr anger get you down......

Your exactly right.... You're here to get comments and crits..... Good for you; you got more work.......

                          Im glad you posted!

my opinion is this - if you dont have any constructive criticism then dont post an angered response...... unless your DaForce and all you want to do is increase your post count.... ROFLOL... Yea thats what he does around here!!!!! NOT!

This you should have seen in the eyes of your client. At least that is the
most honest opinion. What everyone else around is saying , should not bother you, as there are lots of ppl who are much much better than your quality, and of course there are others who are learning.

So, take what you need as good from this thread, and just keep on.

I am sure your next "Image Post" would be considerably much better.

                            Best regards,

here is my take on it:
I usually dont post to images which I feel lack quality. However I understand that often artists are pressured by deadlines, harsh ones often too and which forces them to produce images of low quality, but which are enough for the client.
Now, having said that, I will say also that, when you post an image in the gallery, expect to get criticism for it, good and bad.
My honest opinion about images in the gallery is that, only post very very good images, and dont bother with ok ones, I mean you want to impress everyone right? For this very same reason.
Being very honest here, the image posted is very much below avarage standart, it reminds me of 1998 rendering. Im sure that as an artist you should see that, compare it to some other great works posted here and abroad and make a call weather or not its worth to post such image in the gallery.
                              Cheers.

hey, for something done in two hours its not that bad. if it was a long term project then i would find alot of faults with it, but congratulations for passing the test with your client and getting more work. dont let them keep giving you 2 hour projects though. let them know what the quality can be like if just given the right amount of time.
