Small update. Mainly on the bus: photoshop'd a better wheel and stop sign in place and spruced up the paint and reflections. Daforce: I would have loved to put Otto in if he was just a little further from the camera

I think part of the problem with the school bus is the yellow material and it's specular highlight.

Yeah, the yellow hightlight was a little hot so I toned it down and it helped. It was also a little too yellow and not orange enough for "School Bus Yellow".

I would love to see a more detailed explanation as to how you did that pavement...looks really good (definately photo-real). Thanks

Nothing really that special. Download the road and material HERE. It's RC4 but I don't think there's anything specific in it. You'll also need the colorcorrect plugin.

I like the image, has a realistic feel to it, and the bus looks great.

this is really nice, especially the second version.
I am always trying to avoid "fake 3d people" in favour of 2d cut outs, but here you have managed to make these look half decent.

FINAL (except for 1 small addition ). Thanks for everyone's help, these little improvements helped out a lot I think.

Looks great. People are from where? They look quite good. I like the pavement and grass and frame materials, too.

Wow, this is simply how arch-viz should be done! Perfect!

                              *edit*

Some info on how you did the pavement would definitely be appreciated. Also, is the sky map from some library?

Voltron: People are AXYZ (probably metropoly 1 since I've had them a while). I tweaked the colors a bit to reduce the saturation and to help exposure in LWF.

Pailhead: Thanks, I posted earlier my setup for the pavement so you can take a look at that. The sky is not part of any collection per se but I believe was from 1000skies from a while ago. A little photshop work on it though to match the exposure and remove some of the jpg artifacts.
