  • First image post - Optimus Prime in 9hrs

Hi guys, I have been posting on here for the past 10 months (which is incidentally how long I have been using V-Ray) and you have all been a great help to me.
I havn't been able to post any images of my work yet due to the projects not being finished in 'real life' but I have just finished a 3 day VRay bootcamp which work sent me on and the last day was project day and I produced this model by eye from the manga toy version which I have.
Its not perfect I know as there are some shading issues due to poor geometry and also a lot of detail still left to add when I eventually have some time, but overall it was a fun project to do and I am pretty happy with the outcome.
One of my 'real serious professional stuffy' jobs is being opened on friday and I will be onsite with camera in hand to take some comparative shots so hopefully with works permission I should be able to upload them sometime next week for you all to see.
Thanks for all your help so far!!

So here is my Optimus Prime in 9hrs!.......

Looks good mate, especially for the time limit.

BTW where did you do your Vray bootcamp?

    Thanks

        Hey you - looking good

Did you look at any more of the settings later?

I have redone mine this morning in LWF and adjusted materials to suit n got a really clean render. Only prob is it shows up a few modelling errors now!!! Gonna post in a bit...

                cool. nice one.
i think it could look even better with some more dramatic lighting and environment (and maybe some poses, or a camera angle) and some tweaking with the materials.
