I prefer this image to the previous. The BG is good but I would add more detail to the sky, also, the water needs to sit a touch lower, find your horizon line to help with this. Also, judging by the lighting on the house its an early evening shot so some long tree shadows across the lawn would look really good on this one maybe.

      Update Bullinger house

Here is another update. I was studying some site photos and the site has a lot of naked trees and a rock garden. Here is my attempt to recreate the scene with the new proposed house.

I'd move the sun to the other side, the elevation where you have the main entry would have direct light, the garage doors and the other elevation with in shadow.

The trees need bump or displacement!!!...I'd take the rocks (foreground) out, It looks like somebody is spying the house....or move the camera a little bit higher
        show me the money!!

Model and lighting look great. I would, as already metioned, take the rocks out. They are distracting.

            Sun

I tried moving that sun around, but it never hits the front. I guess I could fake it.

Here is a final. The colors just seem to muddy, but I have to close this one out now.

I didn't really like the first shot in your op, but hey, this one turned out quite well! Nice job, and a very, very nice environment!

Btw, how did you create the trees?

                    Best regards,

                    A.

                      Bullinger house

Thank you. The trees are from the Evermotin exterior series, I think #3. The trees on the site are very close so they worked out well. I think i am going to despairingly photoshop some evergreens in the background.

Nice work. I like the soft glowing effect the image seems to have. texturing, lighting and materials all look great to me but a touch too saturated in places IMHO

I prefer the look of this camera angle as opposed to previous ones as the focus is clearly on the house.

It does have a bit of a CG look to it though but i think that is partly because of saturation.

Overall i think its very good!

                          A nice image indeed!

IMHO I'd remove those leaves...............looks like you've got a serious Mole problem!

The leaves are gone! I am just not getting a nice image..... it looks muddy or something. I bumped my settings up pretty hi, but something is lacking in depth. I think something happens to my max file after awhile. Things like the stone do not get displaced no matter how hard I try. I collapsed the mesh to a poly and reapplied the material, UVW map, and displacement, but nothing happens. I think the same is happening to the lighting. Anyway it is done so thanks for all the help.
