Nice image, saw this on cgtalk also.
Most of the time dof is composited so if you do want to use it you could always use a photoshop plugin like lenscare. Its much quicker than calculating at rendertime and still produces good results if used subtley.
Would be good to see some wires and maybe the lighting setup of your scene.

Lighting is pretty standard stuff, its just reinhard and sun/sky.
Wires/shaded/setup (not really suitable for a real job, ive taken a few shortcuts...)

werticus - Scale reference, thought i'd throw some in for comparisons and make them non-renderable.
Amazed me how much it helped actually, little things like door handles & skirting you can just do by eye and not even need to check, then you can throw in quick poses onto furniture to make sure nothing is too far out - I'm normally the kind of guy who sticks to measurements and needs numbers to model, so to take that near-OCD desire to check everything and get me doing everything compared to human proportions/by eye has sped me up quite a bit.
tct70 - its just a standard camera, there are no special settings.Last edited by Neilg; 09-01-2008, 02:13 AM.

Think thats one of the nicest looking interiors using vray physical camera I have so far seen.
Did you use any other lights in this scene, other than Physical sun and physical sky?"The temperature inside this apple pie is over 1000 degrees. If I squeeze it, a jet of molten bramley apple will squirt out. Could go your way; could go mine. Either way, one of us is going down!!!!"
