  • Airport Lounge

Here are some images of an airport lounge i've been working on.
Might be working on an animation. The client would like moving people. Thinking of using RPC people. I'd like to use some green-screened footage of actors/models, but getting the camera angles, and camera match might be quite difficult. Would probably need to use some kind of camera rig/track (to keep camera steady), and do a camera match, and then composite!

Lighting looks good. Some of your geometry looks faceted (You might want to increase the interpolation as well as apply a turbo smooth modifier). I would use fully animated 3d people as opposed to the RPC people (they look better in my opinion).

      Hi MHenry
      thanks for the reply.
yeah, i'm quite happy with the lighting. i also spent quite a lot of time on the materials, which made a big difference.
Yeah, some of the couches look a bit 'hard'. modelled them in a relatively short space of time.
i tried increasing the interpolation on the meshsmooth modifier, but it didn't really 'round it'. i haven't used the turbosmooth, i'll check it out.
i might need to adjust the meshes a bit to get a softer look. mainly on the big couch...

i usually preffer 3d people as well, but for this one i'm thinking of using rpc, as i'd like to use some actual video footage as well.
got3d models look good. i've used some lowpoly3d people on some projects.
