Super work !
I see something like you're changing your style of rendering. If I haven't seen it is your thread, I wouldn't say - those are giraffe's works.
I think that style fits better for you. !
Kisses.
Best regards,
nikki Candelero
P.s.:
on the bird-eye camera - where the cross road is, the top-left one - misses the curve a bit.
My only comments would be for the trees to look a little more green and less brown. Also perhaps it is my monitor, but the top image could use a little more overall brightness in post.
these are trees I modeled using onyx treestorm. all are geometry but leafs are opacity-map planes. I didnt have any problem with render times.
All renders took about 45minute (max 1hr) at a resolution around 1600x1000. But not high settings.
I always use irradiance map + LC
never used brute force + LC ever. but I want to try that for a personal scene
Excelent work! How did you do the tree bark? Is it displaced or just a strong bump? I love your trees, and also use Onyx. But Onyx gives you a base, the rest is up to artist
I used bump for the trunks but displacement is better for close views.
can we have displacement on vrayproxies? that I dont know.
I tried this week to use displacement and make a vrayproxie, but I did not succeed in it, i'm afraid it is not possible;
ah, I was looking for texture maps at the onyx library, 'cause they have also nice leaves, but no textures of trunks, guess you are using bump/disp to create the similar looks;
btw giraffe, i send you a pm, week ago, thank you for your good work and inspiration to all of us
