Going to revisit this on Monday - so sock it to me!

it's a nice starting point, but all the textures on the building seem to be lacking. they really need some kind of map on them. the road and the pavement could do with a good map (the road looks way too dark), and maybe stick a camber in the road for a bit more detail.
if it were up to me, i'd lose the mesh - especially the bit running up the building. i'd put some life in the café (if that's what it is) on the ground floor. get rid of the guys to the left hand side of the building - maybe move the bmw a bit further up the street. the headlights and taillights of all the cars need a bit of work. lighten the leaves on the trees. looking throught the doors to the balconies the interiors seem too light compared with looking through the window (and the door on the third floor has a gap between the doorframe and the ceiling)
it looks like the glass is crying out for a good environment to reflect.

i like the lighting, so i'd just say concentrate on the materials.

      Hi.

The guy to the left is "flying" of the ground

Mmm. Yes, its lacking detail in my opinion. Its fine for a 'click-render' image, but if this were a marketing shot, I think it needs quite a bit of work. Modelling looks solid for what I guess was quite a bitch to work out from plans and elevations.

        What *is* that mash?
        Kind Regards,

The mesh is just a feature, and for shading I guess. Thanks for the comments so far! I should mention that this was the result of 20 minutes work - pulling the model in and stuff from the library and getting everything setup and textured.

It's pretty good for 20 minutes work, I think the final image will be a lot better once the textures have been refined though! Quite clean looking at the minute.

looks nice and i like the lighting and the settings you use are perfect.

The only comments are as others have said...the model needs detail. Internal lights are good but they are highlighting empty rooms.

also i think a better quality background on par with the clarity of the render would help also because at the moment it looks a bit grainy compared to the 3D.

i like the mesh even though i guess it is just decoration, but the lack of detail on glass balustrading gets to me a bit...you would expect to see some divisions in panels i would thing and also some method for fixing.

in terms of the render, some subtle bump as others have suggested and then unsharp mask in photoshop to bring it out more if you want
