  • Events / Wedding Hall - Dusk Exterior

    HI...

Somthing we work on currently. This is the first render we made for this Event Hall project. The design is not complete yet and the building has changed a little after we made this one, but the client needed something quick for marketing / capital raising purposes.

We over saturated the image for print, but it turned out OK for screen too, no?

hope to post some final shoots soon after the design is complete

    cheers

I like it over saturated. It's more vibrant and romantic this way.

Very nice work. Are those lights at the base of the palm trees?

Yes, those are small lights. i used the palm mesh + lattice modifier to create the light wire "net" and the lights themselves. not the best way i think... but didn't have to much time study this further.

what i would really like to do is shrink rap a cylinder around this palm truck and use that for the lattice... any one knows how to achieve this in 3d studio max?

here is a crop from the full image

you could duplicate the polys for the light wrapped lights and pplay a VRAY light material with an image of the light shape made in Photoshop mapped and tiled on the mases (Include an Alpha) This will be much faster and easier to control.

perhaps a bit late, but i think you could try this script from chugnutt
              http://www.chuggnut.com/Scripts/chugg_meshproject.zip

"Projects the verts of one mesh onto the surface of another. Projects along the vertex normals of the first object.
USAGE:select one object to project, press the button. Click another object to project onto."

Not late at all, Architecture design takes its time and this project has yet finished. i'll give that script a go - thanks!
