      Really great work.

I've modelled a couple of trainers in my time & can completely share your pain on the modelling/texturing front - although these are substantially more complex!

Are there lots of bits of shoe on your desk?

I would love to know the process to create such accurate models...also did you scan in textures from a real trainer to product the lovely fabric textures ?

How did you put all the divots in the surfaces ?
Everything was modelled from scratch. We had the prototype shoes for reference and we had a photoshoot with these to gain shape and texture reference. Which divots do you mean? If you mean the sole, they were done with a displacement map.

Thanks!!! Didn't have a great deal of time to get them right. We had a pretty tight schedule.

Cheers for replying. So Im guessing that most of the smaller details were displacement as oppose to 3dsmax modelling ?

All the small nodules of rubber were displaced, and the shoelaces. The main grooves in the indoor shoe were displaced too, but the rest was modelled.

Looks great, but I can't seem to locate the animations. What's the main category?

To us americans, that would be soccer not football. Check the UK site...
                  www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

You'll probably have to go to nikefootball.com then "Europe" to see them.
